It was a birthday party weekend...

It has been such a busy week I never got to post again (I started this post Friday and just finished it today...Sunday). Last weekend we had 3 birthday parties to go too! 2 kid ones and 1 adult one. It was a fun weekend but by the end I was worn out. Saturday afternoon we were invited to a little girl's party that is in Emma's class. Emma was SO EXCITED. Saturday night we went to Mark's 40th birthday party. It's the only one I have pictures from. It was a lot of fun.

Here is Amy, Amber, Me, Lindy & Leah.

Leah, Me & Amber

Me & Sara...she's my training buddy. I had taken a picture of me, her and Amy but it didn't turn out. We've been working out together with a trainer for 6 weeks now.

Here is the birthday boy himself.

This weekend was not nearly as busy as last. Friday, I had lunch with Amy, Andrea and Tara. Andrea is due with her first baby boy in April. Friday night me and Amy went to the BAMOM sale and got some cute stuff. Saturday was pretty uneventful, and Sunday was Andrea's baby tea. Hope you all had a great weekend!

It's official...

Brooks can now roll from back to belly and belly to back! Wow is all I can say!! He wasn't even supposed to be rolling from belly to back till 16 weeks which is about now and even longer before he did back to belly. He's definitely outdoing his sister! I put him down Friday and here is how I found him.

He started out in the middle of the mat playing. I said Brooks how did you get there and here is the look I got. I could just eat him to pieces!

I really meant to post this before now but it has been hectic lately. I'll post more tomorrow about all that we did this past weekend. Until then, I hope your all having a great Tuesday. I feel like the work I've done for yesterday and today should make it Friday already. I'm slap exhausted! I sure am proud of my sweet baby boy though!!

Isn't he just the cutest?

We took a bunch of pictures last night of Brooks and here is just 1 of them. I haven't looked at them all since taking them but right now this is by far my favorite. I'm thinking about blowing it up and possibly putting it on a canvas like Kelly did. What do you think?

My sweet hubby...

Each year me and Ben normally just get each other a card for Valentine's Day and call it a day. We normally don't even go out to eat or anything because everything is always so busy. I should have known last year after he gave me a gift certificate for a massage that he'd do something this year. We even talked about it, to make sure each of us was on the same page. So you can imagine my suprise when he gave me this to open yesterday morning.

My very own Pink Ipod Nano. I was shocked and surprised. He mentioned Saturday night he needed to run an errand but I thought nothing of it and he left. I had no idea he was going to get this. And to top it all off he used his Christmas money to get it for me. I could have cried right then and there. I told him I would most definitely be getting him back when he least expected it. Next year I will know better (hopefully). We both have our things that probably drive each other crazy about the other one, but I have to say I don't know what I'd do without him. He's far better to me then I could ever deserve and I love him with all of my heart!!

After getting my new "toy" I decided I was going to the gym (well I was actually going before that anyway). But with it, made the gym much more fun...especially since I was there for the long haul...to burn 1000 calories.

Thank you so much Ben for my new Ipod. I love you so much!!

P.S. Snow Ice Cream Recipe

Here is the recipe we used to make the snow ice cream today. I got it from Kelly's Korner.

A Snow Day...

Today the weather people finally got it right! When they say it is going to snow, they typically over exaggerate and send everyone in a panic. But not today, it really snowed like they said. I was at the gym at 6:00 a.m. this morning and the weather there said it would start snowing at 10:00 a.m. and sure enough at about 10:00 it started and has been snowing all day. Emma really liked the snow this time. Here are some pictures of her getting snow to make snow ice cream.

Here is Brooks hanging out inside where it's nice and warm. I couldn't get him to smile. He was too busy looking at the camera and then at Emma.

Hope you all have a great weekend! I've been trying to upload a video all week of Brooks laughing but I think it must be too big because it won't ever finish uploading. Maybe I can get a shorter one to post.

Brooks rolling over...

I was so excited. I finally got a video of him rolling over last night. It's a short video and its from my phone so it's a little blurry, thank goodness I started recording when I did or I would have missed it. Here you go!

3 Months...

Brooks was 3 months old Thursday. It's hard to believe it's already been 3 months since I had him. He is such a blessing to us and truly makes our family feel complete. Here are some pictures of him.

Here is what Brooks is up to these days:

-He goes to sleep between 9 and 10 and sleeps till 6:30 (for this we are so thankful)
-He eats between 4 and 5 oz every 3 hours.
-He's in size 1-2 diapers after this box we'll move to 2's.
-He can still wear some 0-3 months stuff and can wear some of his 3-6 month stuff.
-He smiles all the time and truly is a very happy baby.
-He's very ticklish on his back and will laugh out loud, it's the sweetest thing.
-He's already rolled from belly to back several times and can roll to his side from his back.
-He holds his head so well and sits so good in his bumbo seat.
-He loves bath time and will just sit and chew on his hands the entire time.
-He loves his jumperoo we had with Emma although he hasn't quite mastered jumping yet.
-He loves, loves, loves his playmat. For this we are thankful for as well because it allows mommy and daddy to get a few things done when we can.
-He LOVES his big sister. He will stop playing or eating whenever she comes up to him and will watch her every move. It's so sweet.

That about sums it up, I'm sure I'm leaving something out. I've said this a dozen times but Emma was a good baby but Brooks has her beat. He is so good and we all love him so much. I can't wait to see what milestones we'll see in the coming months.

Happy Friday!

The Greatest Show on Earth...

Better late then never. Here are some pictures of our trip to the circus. We went with Amber, Jarred, Jacob, Shannon, Blake and Harper. We had a great time and Emma sat mesmerized the entire time. My personal favorite part were the motorcycles in the cage. It was amazing!

The elephants making their grand entrance.

The tigers.

There were 3 people inside this little box, it was unreal.

The motorcycles getting started.

They started with 4 and then kept adding 1 till they got to 7. Here is a picture of them going. I wish I had it on video.

This is a little blurry, it was right above us and they did all sorts of stuff, but when they flipped over it totally got me because I thought they were going to fall on us!

The end of the circus. These guys were really good, they were all jumping together at several different times. It was pretty good also!

Emma and Harper at the end.

We didn't get a picture with Jacob :( . We were a few minutes late and then they left right at the end and we waited for the crowd to die down. But he was there enjoying it all too!

We can't wait to go back next year and take Brooks with us!

A day at the park...

Two weeks ago on Wednesday we took advantage of a very pretty Spring like day and headed to the park with some of our best friends Shannon, Harper and Henley. We had a GREAT time and it made me long for the cold weather to be gone for good and warm weather to be here. Emma and Harper did so good and played really hard and both past out for a nap once we were all home. Here are some pictures from our day.

Miss Henley just hanging out...

Emma loves to slide!

Shannon and Harper coming down the slide. I know it looks like Shannon was turning her head but I don't think she knew I was taking the picture.

Emma and Harper on the merry go round.

These girls are so silly!

Brooks just hanging out wishing he could play with big sister Emma.

I'm a little behind in my posts but we did have such a good time that day I hated to leave it off and I had started it 2 weeks ago and needed to finish it. I sure do wish I was back off work at the park again. But tomorrow is my Friday so I can't complain too much!

Guess who rolled over...

Brooks did!!!!!

I've been trying to capture it on video since Thursday but have had no such luck. However Brooks rolled from his belly to his back Thursday night, not once, not twice but 3 times. I thought maybe it was a fluke but he has continued to do it since. I couldn't believe my eyes. I had just put Emma to bed Thursday night and sat down in the floor with him to do tummy time and next thing you know he rolled over. I was clapping and being really loud apparently because Ben told me to be quiet. He didn't realize what I was cheering about. I flipped him back over to see if he'd do it again so Ben could see it and he did and then did it again. Ben was obviously really proud because next thing you know I find him at the computer trying to find out when they are supposed to start rolling over like that. I looked at my book and it said 16 weeks was typically the earliest. Do we have a genius or what? We think so at least! Brooks rolled over at 12 weeks 1 day! Pretty impressive huh? Friday I guess he thought he hadn't impressed us enough and rolled from his belly to his back to his right (Thursday night he was rolling to his left). Sorry I just had to brag on my sweet baby boy! Hopefully I can post a video soon or pictures at least.

Happy Monday!
