Doctor's Update

I went for an ultrasound yesterday and they estimate Brooks weight to be 7 lbs 12 oz. That is great news because we are not scheduled for a c-section. It can be off anywhere up to 1 lb but she feels like we're good to go. So with that being said we are scheduled to be induced Wednesday morning. We have to be there at 6:00 a.m. Say a prayer all goes well for us!! We are very excited about finally meeting our little man. I hope you all have a great weekend! I'll keep everyone posted next week.

I'll be back with pictures of Miss Emma Bean later and some pants I made her with the help and patience of Shannon!

Boo at the Zoo!!

We went to Boo at the Zoo Sunday night with Shannon, Blake, Harper and Henley. I don't know if I've mentioned yet but we are so GLAD our friends are back in Birmingham. We love them so much and Emma and Harper haven't missed a beat and I think will be best friends. It's so cute to see them together the more they are around each other on a regular basis the better they do! I didn't get many pictures but here are the ones I did get.

Emma and Kermit (she was too busy checking out everyone around her)

Emma, Kermit and Harper (Harper wasn't too sure about him)

Here we are getting started on the carousel. Shannon and Harper are right next to us if you can make us out! Emma was such a big girl and rode by herself while I stood next to her because me, my belly and her weren't going to fit. Emma and Harper both LOVED it.

Here's Emma waving at daddy! It was moving at this point so it's not the best picture.

She loves her daddy!! Hugging daddy!

This was Ben's attempt at getting her to make a scary face with him!

This was an animal show we saw while waiting on the hayride. I had to get a picture of the snake.

Here is a close up! YUCK!! I'm terrified of snakes and she was right in front of me. After I took it I looked at Ben and told him I was glad I didn't make the snake mad with the flash because he could have easily bitten me.

This is the only shot we got on the hayride with them both.

And here we are 1 more time on the carousel! Emma LOVED it. We'll have to go back soon!

I hope your all having a good day! I'm finally finished wrapping up our weekend. I'll have more pictures to share soon. We went last night to a fall festival with Shannon, Blake, Harper and Henley for them to trick or treat and I know we got lots of cute pictures of them dressed up. I just haven't had a chance to look at them!

I'll be back tomorrow with an update from the doctor!

38 Weeks...just 1 more day of work!

Wow, I'm really already at 38 weeks and already looking at my last day of work for a while. When I say this pregnancy has flown by, that's a HUGE understatement. I still remember that Sunday afternoon on March 1st when I took the pregnancy test and it said positive. I remember all the wide range of emotions I had. I was so excited, scared, overwhelmed, shocked, you name it. It was pretty much all the same feelings I had when I took it with Emma. It's a surreal moment that's for sure. I won't get completely sappy this time but I can't say it won't happen before he gets here or after. Like I said lately I've had so much going through my head just trying to process it all is a bit daunting. So moving on, here is my belly picture for this week. I will do another one when I go into the hospital and post it at some point.

Like I said earlier tomorrow is my last day for a while and so my co-workers want to go to lunch and they know my FAVORITE place down here is Newks so we're going to Newks. As they put it, it's my soon to be last real meal. I laughed and agreed because once he comes out boy do I have some shedding to do! :) So I'll go tomorrow and enjoy every bit of my chicken salad sandwich I get knowing I won't get to have them quite so much in less then a week!!

Now I'm going to attempt to wrap up the weekend post I've been doing all week!! Sunday we decided to carve our pumpkins with Emma. She had a good time and we got some cute pictures. Here they are!

Getting ready to help daddy! As you see Papa Bear and Iggy (who is in her arms) have to go everywhere with us like I've said before.

Although she quickly realized to really help she'd have to put Iggy down.

She's checking out just exactly what she's scooping out!

Showing daddy, just where to carve the pumpkin at!

Here she is so excited about the eye!

Miss Hollywood (we had to change pants because we got something on them and she's a bit OCD like her mommy!)

Here she is with Papa Bear, the pumpkin (she told daddy she wanted the eyes to be triangles, the nose to be a circle and him to have 1 tooth...so specific) and Iggy Pop!

Then she wanted to move and do a picture on the slide!

And here she is with the other pumpkin that says Emma (notice Papa Bear and Iggy)!

Ok I lied, I won't bore you anymore today with pictures and I really will finish up the weekend tomorrow with a few pictures from Boo at the Zoo! Hope you all are having a good Wednesday!

Painting the Pumpkin

Saturday after Emma woke up from her nap, she wanted to paint her little pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. We had actually gotten her a little pumpkin a few weeks back so she had 2 and wanted to paint them both. Here she is painting her pumpkins.

She's concentrating so hard.

Rinsing her brush.

So pretty!

She did such a good job and was so proud!

I still have several pictures to show from the weekend so I'll share more tomorrow! Hope your all having a good day!

Doctor's Update and Partial Weekend Recap

I went to the doctor Thursday and haven't had a chance to post since. I am at 1 cm and the doctor told me he was very low. I said that explains all the pressure I've been feeling. I don't remember this much pressure with Emma nor do I remember being this uncomfortable with her either. But regardless not too much longer. She did think he was bigger then Emma (Emma weighed 8 lbs 5 oz) so she wants to do an ultrasound when I go back this Thursday. She told me an ultrasound can be off up to 1 lb at this point. So for instance if it says he weighs 8 1/2 lbs he could weigh 9 1/2 lbs or 7 1/2 lbs. However, in saying that, she did say if the ultrasound suggested he weighed anything over 9 lbs she wanted to discuss just scheduling a c-section from the beginning. I didn't take Ben with me so I was a ball of nerves sitting there listening to her. I think she could tell so she said we'd talk about it in depth after my next appt and the ultrasound however she started going over pros and cons with me and by the time she was finished I assured her I'd do whatever she recommended. So now I'm just anxiously awaiting my appointment on Thursday where we find out what they "think" he weighs and what our next steps are. We are for sure having him November 4th unless he comes before that. Speaking of which this Thursday will more then likely be my last day of work! I'm off on Friday's anyway so that just left Monday and Tuesday and I've decided I really want to be home with Emma so that's probably what I will do. At the very least I'll work Monday but not past that. So not too much longer to go.

Now for a recap, we had a BUSY fun-filled weekend! So I'm going to break it up because I have so many pictures to share! Saturday we went to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch with Shannon, Blake, Harper and Henley. It was so much fun and put the Pumpkin Patch in Harpersville to shame. We will most definitely be going back to this one. Emma and Harper had so much fun and so did we. Here are some pictures from it.

My face looks huge here to me! But here is a picture of us all smiling! (Ben's might be a little forced, lol)

On the hayride to get a pumpkin

Going to pick out our pumpkin...

I want this one mommy!

This one is just my size and just for me.

She was having so much fun, we told her to pick 1 more (we weren't thinking when we said we wanted 3 pumpkins). So she's walking and looking for 1 more pumpkin with hands up in the air.

Blake, Shannon, Harper and Henley on our way back from getting pumpkins

Having too much fun!

Spinning the wheel to win a prize.

Emma and Harper with both of their prizes (trying to get them both to smile and look at the camera is a tough job) Here is Emma smiling and Harper not!

And here is Harper smiling and Emma not!

As you can see it was a fun day at the Pumpkin Patch and this isn't even half the pictures we took! We had a lot of fun!! I'll recap the rest of the weekend tomorrow!

Happy Monday!

37 Weeks

I almost typed 36 weeks in the title. I most definitely don't want to back track! :) But if that tells you anything I still can't believe I'm already 37 weeks. Here is my belly picture for this week. I've just given up on liking any of them! :) I feel huge and I hurt all over so feeling pretty is definitely a thing of the past! But that's ok, it's all worth it.

I go to the doctor tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll have a good update to post about tomorrow. That's wishful thinking I know! Hope you all have a great day!

Busy Weekend

I'll start with 2 pictures my mom sent me on my phone of Emma playing outside today. They are too cute but then again she's too cute, I could just eat her up! Her teddy bears are her world. It's the sweetest thing ever. We have Papa Bear who we could not live without, Iggy Pop who sleeps with her and has since she was 1 and then we have Mary Kate. She named Papa Bear and Mary Kate and Ben I think named Iggy Pop. I can't remember now. All her animals seem to have names so it's hard to keep up but these are by far her favorites. This is Emma swinging with her baby and Mary Kate swinging next to her. She takes them everywhere you will let her.

Here she is making Mary Kate lunch at her picnic table. She is such a good mommy with them all! :)

As for the weekend I was busy getting ready for Amy's baby tea which was at my house on Sunday. I just have 2 pictures from my phone of her diaper cake I made her this weekend and her corsage I made her as well. Hopefully tomorrow I can remember to post a few more pictures of the mom to be and the tea itself. I didn't get that many pictures though because it was at my house I was making sure everyone had everything they needed. I'm sure some of the other people that helped out got more then I did and hopefully Amy will post some for us all to see.

Friday me and my mom got out to get the food for Sunday. We were gone ALL day. Then Friday night was GNO at Amy's house. It was fun as it always is but it's so much more low key these days with 3 of us pregnant. I was home at 10 which is a record time for me even being pregnant when it's GNO. Saturday I cleaned my house from top to bottom then realized I had forgotten a few things for Sunday (how I'm not sure after being gone getting stuff all day Friday) I'll blame it on my pregnancy brain and had to get back out late Sat afternoon. Sat night is when I made the diaper cake and Amy and her mom's corsages. Here they are.

Sock Corsage

Diaper Cake

Remember all the pictures today are from my phone so that's why they may not be the best quality! I think the tea went really well, we had a great turnout and she got a lot of great stuff. By the time I cleaned up from that (with much help from everyone who hosted) and everyone left I was slap exhausted. Needless to say my bags nor Brooks' bags are packed yet and my laundry from the weekend isn't done. But that's ok, I'll get to it all this week! I think anyway! :) So I hope you all had a good weekend. I hope to spend lots of quality time with Emma this weekend and next before Brooks makes his big debut. As Ben said last night its like waiting on Christmas!

Happy Monday to you all!

36 Weeks

I'm a day late! Here is my belly picture for this week. Boy do I feel HUGE!!

Here are some pictures of Emma playing school the other night. She's so cute to watch. This is what Mrs. Sam does with them at school. She will hold something up and ask them all what it is and then tell them what it is and now Emma does it to me, Ben and all her animals. It's too cute.

Ben bought these flash cards she's using to play school with as a "prize" when we were potty training. I remember telling him I thought she was a little young for them, I can't remember what the age on the package said but it wasn't 2 and up. But boy have I been eating my words. She now knows what everyone of them are (they are the ABC's with a picture of something starting with each letter) and they have been a great learning tool! Just goes to show you not always are "they" right on packaging stuff by certain age groups.

Here are some more pictures of her playing school that night. She's just so cute I could eat her up. We play "school" and "chapel" all the time now. They go to chapel every Thursday at school and now at home she sits her animals up in a circle and sings to them, it is the cutest, sweetest thing. She says, "you want to come in chapel mommy" with the sweetest face. How can you say no?

Here she is just being silly!

Hope you all have a great day!!
